Our Service Valets/Porters are primarily responsible for moving and organizing boats/trailers in our service department and/or parking areas, as well as customer service aspects such as greeting guests and prepping boats/trailers as needed for the service department.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Must be able to back in trailers.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Moving boats/trailers as directed, ensuring they are moved safely between the service lanes, stalls, and lot.
  • Greeting customers in a welcoming manner and ensuring positive customer interactions.
  • Prepping boats/trailers before service with any needed covers or materials, then removing prior to returning to customer.
  • Keeping the service drive and parking areas clean and orderly.
  • Supporting service technicians as needed.

Our Online Sales Specialist is responsible for learning, selling, and promoting all pro shop products. This position adds, removes, and updates inventory on our online sales platform, as well as preps shipments of online orders.

Our Fiberglass/Gelcoat Repair Technician is in charge of inspecting gelcoat/fiberglass for any imperfections and repairs if necessary. They address blemishes and correct defects as well as apply wax to the final product prior to any wrapping or send off of the boat.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying imperfections and addressing them using sanders, buffers, and small routers under pneumatic pressure.
  • Inspecting all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
  • Cleaning throughout the process to remove any compound or wax build up.
  • Performing work with strong attention to detail and within any outlined deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Skills and abilities:

  • Ability to apply gelcoat to surfaces.
  • Ability to identify and repair gelcoat defects, such as cracks, porosity, etc.
  • Must be able to use chemicals with proper protective gloves and equipment.

Experience/Know How:

  • Previous experience with gelcoat repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper use of material for waxing preferred.
  • Experience in using and maintaining a variety of hand tools.
  • Experience with buffers, sanders, and spray equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, as well as stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb in and out of boats.
  • Must be able to wear the appropriate safety equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs if needed.
  • Ability to use and maintain small hand tools, e.g. grinder, scraper, razor knife.

Our Marine Sales Associate is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close of sale, including in store and outside sales events. They work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer expectations. 

Key qualities 

  • Great communicator who can walk potential buyers through the sales process. 
  • Experience in marine sales is a plus but not required. 
  • Works well in a team environment.

All positions’ pay is depended upon work experience, and we’re willing to train. All positions are full-time.

The Service Writer supports the service department and is responsible for preparing work orders, ordering parts, claiming warranties, and providing exceptional customer service to Bunch Marine LLC customers. The Service Writer is responsible for ensuring all of Bunch Marine LLC customers leave with a desire to return.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Bunch Marine LLC customers with a positive service experience and assure customer satisfaction
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise service orders with technicians, from customer drop off to customer pick up
  • Actively communicate with customers, team members, other Bunch Marine LLC departments, and vendors in a professional manner
  • Keep detailed, accurate records on service work, warranties, internal billings, etc.
  • Ensure that work orders and parts invoices are cashiered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Track warranty work orders and warranty submissions and ensure they are billed and paid in a timely manner
  • Clearly communicate billing, inventory, warranty, or customer service issues to the service manager
  • Generate parts orders, receive items, and maintain an accurate inventory system
  • Work with sales department and pro shop managers to drive more sales from service department
  • Actively engage with Bunch Marine LLC service and pro shop customers
  • Responsible for walking through the services performed on customer boats with each customer
  • Upsell all service work with the goal of adding additional services to customer’s work orders
  • Generate additional service work to drive sales and revenue to the service department
  • Attain a high level of knowledge regarding the brands that sell as well as many others.
  • Stay connected with what is happening in the boat/watersport industry (events, contests, pro rider news) and passionately share this information with customers to generate interest in what we are selling
  • Ensure all local, state, and federal laws are followed
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Promote the Bunch Marine LLC brand
  • Other tasks required by manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office experience required; experience with Dealer Manager Service Software preferred
  • Administration and Management: Knowledge of business, management and sales principles, customer service, and coordination of people and resources
  • Accounting and Analysis:Ability to understand inventory, costs, and sales
  • Communication: Ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and company personnel. Communicate information with all individuals clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, being aware that many of our customers are high net-worth individuals
  • Mechanical:Ability to understand the mechanical and electrical systems on watercrafts and communicate issues to employees and customers
  • Selling:Ability to promote and sell the service center’s products and services with a full understanding of what each product is and does, to communicate that with customers
  • Characteristics: Humility and willingness to learn; grit and determination to succeed; self-motivated with ability to build and maintain relationships, exhibit intelligence, integrity, and an optimistic outlook

Bunch Parts Managers are responsible for learning, selling, promoting, and merchandising all parts and accessories products, as well as helping out customers with their needs and wants when it comes to their boats. This may include finding the products needed and/or making recommendations for products.

This role will involve supporting the smooth operation of various administrative functions, in a relaxed atmosphere for other departments within Bunch Marine, including sales, parts and service.

Our Service Manager is responsible for managing the service department. This includes leading employees, providing exceptional customer service, following up on service orders, and striving for a strong service department in all aspects of service, parts, and warranty.

Bunch Marine is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marine Rigger to join our Service Department. The Marine Rigger is a critical member of our team, responsible for the final outfitting and customization of new and used vessels. This hands-on role involves installing a wide range of marine electronics, wiring systems, and accessories. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for electrical work and a passion for working with boats. While previous marine experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Install and troubleshoot a variety of 12-volt marine electronics, including stereos, speakers, navigation systems, sonar, and lighting. 
  • Perform rigging and outfitting of new and used boats, ensuring all installations are completed with a high standard of quality and precision. 
  • Operate and trailer a wide range of boats for testing and transportation purposes. 
  • Work collaboratively with the service and sales teams to ensure a smooth and timely completion of all projects. 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, colleagues, and customers regarding project status and requirements. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company standards. 
  • Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with new marine technology, equipment, and rigging techniques. 

Qualifications 

  • Proven knowledge of 12-volt electrical wiring and systems. Experience in automotive or powersports electronics is highly desirable. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • A strong desire to learn and grow within the marine industry. 
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to safely operate and trailer boats.
